🌿 How to Find Silence When the World Is Loud

Today’s blog is inspired by a beautiful question from Alex:
“How do you find silence when there is none?”

It’s such a timely question—because let’s be honest, life isn’t always peaceful.

There are cars honking. Kids crying. Gardeners weed whacking at exactly the wrong time. The world is full of noise—literal and energetic. And if you’re a sensitive, intuitive, or empathic being, it can feel overwhelming fast.

So how do we return to inner stillness when the outer world won’t cooperate?

Let me share what works for me.

🕊 Going Within: Your Sacred Refuge

When the noise outside feels loud, I go inward to find my quiet.

And over the years, I’ve learned to cultivate an inner sanctuary—not just in the rare moments when everything is serene, but especially when things are chaotic.

Here’s my practice. You can try it too.


A Simple Ritual for Finding Inner Silence

Start with a prayer
I begin every meditation with prayer.
I place my hands in prayer position over my heart, which helps activate my heart chakra.

Then I offer a sincere prayer like:

“Thank you, God, for helping me tap into my inner stillness, peace, and quiet.”
“Thank you, Divine Spirit, for surrounding me with silence, within and without.”

Focus on the spiritual eye.
I gently lift my gaze—both physically and energetically—toward the point between my eyebrows. That’s the seat of inner vision, the spiritual eye.

By placing my attention there, I pull my energy out of the outer world and into divine presence.

Breathe slowly and deeply.
I let my breath become the metronome of my peace.
Inhale calm… exhale tension.
Inhale light… exhale noise.

Clear distractions with compassion.


If the “monkey mind” starts swinging from mental branches, I don’t fight it—I just cut cords to the distraction.
Sometimes I literally say: “Shoo fly, don’t bother me.”
(Yes, even spiritual people can be playful with their process!)

Return to stillness again and again.
Peace is not always instant. But it is always available when we return to it with love.


🌸 You Are the Still Point

When you learn how to access silence within, it no longer matters what’s happening without.

You become the eye of the storm.
The calm in the chaos.
The still point in a spinning world.

You don’t have to wait for life to be quiet to be at peace.
You can be actively calm, even when life is anything but.

Instead of trying to fight the noise, try this:

Go within.

Say a prayer.

Focus your gaze inward.

Cut cords to the chaos.

And breathe.

You might just find that silence has been waiting inside you all along.
